Tim Cook, the CEO of tech giant Apple, disclosed that he has personally invested in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

  • With a market cap of approximately $2. 476 trillion, Apple is ranked the second-largest company in the world.
  • Its CEO Tim Cook revealed Tuesday at the DealBook conference that he has personally invested in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
  • When asked if he owns one of both, he reportedly said:

I do. It’s reasonable to have it in a portfolio that includes other investments. […] I am not giving investment advice to anyone.

  • The top-ranking executive stated that he has been interested in crypto since a long time and that he has also done research on the subject.
  • There’s been plenty of speculation on whether or not Apple will get involved in the industry in one way or another.
  • Cook dismissed all of this, however, and rejected the possibility that Apple might buy it using corporate funds. He also rejected suggestions that the company might accept cryptocurrency as a tender.

I wouldn’t go invest in crypto, not because I wouldn’t invest my own money, but because I don’t think people buy Apple stock to get exposure to crypto.
