Funganomics Completes its First Seed Investment Round in Accelerating Development of the NFT & Gaming Ecosystem

press release

PRESS RELEASE. An Ethereum-based community will bring together NFT investors and partners as well as play-to-earn developers and gamers.

While new PTE and NFT gaming sites are appearing almost daily, very few have been able to connect in an intuitive, seamless way that creates a strong and inclusive community that rewards and delights all stakeholders.

Funganomics, however, is building for “what’s next” in this new and exciting space, addressing the gaps in functionality and user experience currently challenging other platforms and their digital communities.

Specifically, the new eco-system will include several key functional areas which will work in synergy with each other, including Fungatopia, FGS Games, PTE Gaming, and Fungality (AR/VR Experiments), all of which have been successful registered trademark applications.

The UK-based company announced on 18th of November successful completion of its initial seed round of funding, the source of which was a private investor from the US. The company stated that it will use the funds to support staffing growth, technology infrastructure expansion and software enablement.

Jeremy Roberts is the CEO and Founder of Funganomics. He said that “Funganomics has a unique position to offer a wide range of solutions in the Blockchain sector.” Since our first startup, we have taken an independent approach and funded the project ourselves. We are pleased to have both substantial new capital and additional knowledge and experience that will help the company achieve its ambitious growth goals in the next months .”

Roberts added, “to-date the team has already achieved several, significant milestones and benchmarks in terms of progress, and we are well on our way to both the FGS token pre-sale and our first NFT game character drop through our custom-built platform. Funganomics provides new technology in a vibrant Blockchain market that has strong token utility. You can read our blog post on company progress here

The Funganomics token pre-sale is tentatively scheduled for 30th November, with the NFT character drop planned shortly thereafter on 16th of December.

To further enhance and accelerate its product portfolio roadmap, company plans to formalize venture capital alliances after their initial presale.

Nike is facing a lawsuit from people who bought its NFTs

Wes Davis

Wes Davis is a weekend editor who covers the latest in tech and entertainment. He has written news, reviews, and more as a tech journalist since 2020.

A group of people sued Nike this week over its decision to wind down its virtual show project RTFKT last year. The buyers of the digital assets accuse Nike of causing “the rug to be pulled out from under them,” and say they wouldn’t have bought its NFTs if they’d known they were “unregistered securities,” reports Reuters.

Filed in New York’s Eastern District, the proposed class action lawsuit seeks “unspecified damages of more than $5 million for alleged violations of New York, California, Florida and Oregon consumer protection laws.”

Nike tried to jump into the NFT game by buying RTFKT in 2021. But, like Starbucks Odyssey, it never quite worked out and the company abandoned the idea, announcing in December via the RTFKT X account that it planned to “wind down RTFKT operations” by the end of January this year.

Since then, RTFKT has seemingly been maintained by a single person named Samuel Cardillo, who spent Thursday posting through the sudden disappearance (and later reappearance) of artwork for its CloneX NFTs project.
