Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' — Warns of 'Explosion Like We've Never Seen'

An ex-President of the United States, Donald Trump, said that crypto was “very dangerous.” He also spoke out about Truth Social, his social media platform and his non-fungible token (NFT), venture.

Former US President Trump Warns of a Massive ‘Explosion,’ Stating that Crypto Is ‘Very Dangerous’

Donald Trump spoke out about cryptocurrency, his wife’s endeavor to create a non-fungible token, NFT, and his new social media platform Truth Social in an interview with Maria Bartiromo. The interview was published Tuesday by Fox Business.

” What do you think of crypto?” Trump was asked. Bartiromo stated that “New York City and Miami are really getting crypto into their financial systems .”

The former president of the United States reiterated his anticrypto stance. “Well, it’s not something I love because I like the dollar. It should be the dollar, so I wasn’t a fan. It’s getting worse and worse and no one is doing anything to stop it .”

He stressed, “Look, i want a currency called dollar,”

I don’t want all these other things, and that could cause an explosion someday — like we have never seen before. It will make the explosion of big tech seem like it’s just for babies. It’s very dangerous.

Trump is not a crypto-fan. In August, he predicted that cryptocurrencies are “a disaster waiting to happen.” In June, he called bitcoin a scam that needs heavy regulation.

Trump also was asked about the non-fungible token (NFT), that she launched with her former first lady. Melania Trump last week announced that she is selling an NFT titled “Melania’s Vision” on her newly launched NFT platform. She plans to release NFTs frequently. She released a statement saying that she was proud to announce her new NFT venture, which embodies me passion for the arts and will support my ongoing commitments to children through my Be Best initiative.

Commenting about his wife’s NFT plans for her, Trump stated: “She’s going great… She got great imagination. People love our ex-first lady, that’s what I can confirm. They love her .”

.

Truth Social is Trump’s social media platform. He previously stated that it will be an alternative for Silicon Valley internet companies, which he believes are biased against him and other conservative voices. He intends to launch Truth Social in the United States early next year.

The former president of the United States was asked how he would compete with tech giants like Google and Twitter. He replied that “we have no choice” and reiterated his belief that “it’s going be very large .”
